The wait is almost over! Archangel Studios’ debut game Bleak Faith: Forsaken is releasing on March 10th, and fans of the Souls-like genre are sure to be excited. This game, developed by a three person team, takes inspiration from both the Souls series and Dragon Age, creating a unique and immersive experience.
In Bleak Faith, you explore the Omnistructure, a relentless and interconnected world filled with fierce creatures and astonishing bosses. The game has a fantasy setting, with a hint of sci-fi elements, and you will be able to find hundreds of unique weapons and pieces of equipment to combine as you see fit. Combat requires strategic positioning, timing, and resource management, and there are even Shadow-of-the-Colossus-like elements, with large bosses and enemies that you can climb.
The game was initially revealed in 2019 as a Kickstarter project, with an expected release in 2020. However, the team had to adjust due to the COVID pandemic, and the game is currently only planned for release on PC. The team has stated that a PS4 and Xbox One release is a priority once they have the resources to do so.
Bleak Faith: Forsaken is sure to be an exciting and unique game, and will be available on PC on March 10th. If you’re a fan of the Souls-like genre and are looking for a new experience, then this game is sure to be worth checking out.
