It’s finally here! Activision has released the first trailer for the upcoming Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. The trailer reveals several highly-anticipated multiplayer and battle royale game modes.
The upcoming season is set to start on April 12 and will feature two new operators, the Intervention sniper, and a classic map remake. Additionally, the developers have also implemented a replay investigation tool to watch back WZ2 and MW2 matches to weed out cheaters, and Cronus Zen devices will finally be detected on controllers.
The trailer also reveals a variety of new game modes and features, including Gunfight, Plunder, WZ2 Ranked, Al Mazrah Resurgence, Cranked, and Blackcell.
Gunfight is a 2v2 multiplayer mode that plays similarly to the Gulag. Cranked is a team deathmatch game mode, where players need to get a kill within a 30-second timer or they will explode. Al Mazrah Resurgence allows players to respawn during the opening stages of matches. Plunder provides a unique battle royale experience as players race to earn the highest amount of cash, instead of chasing kills.
Finally, Warzone Ranked will be similar to MW2 Ranked Play, but the developers have yet to provide an explanation on what to expect. Blackcell is also a mystery, but we will provide an update when the developers unveil an official roadmap for Season 3.
It looks like Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 is going to be an exciting one, with plenty of new features and game modes to look forward to. Be sure to stay tuned for more updates and information about the upcoming season!
