Square Enix has announced that the long-awaited Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series will be released for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on April 19. This series of games includes the first six Final Fantasy titles, all of which have been remastered with modernised UI, auto-battle functions, rearranged soundtracks with original composer Nobuo Uematsu, and more.

Players now have the option to switch between the original and rearranged soundtracks, as well as the ability to turn off random encounters to explore the map. The games also feature boost features that speed up the amount of experience accumulated for faster and easier runs, and players can gain up to four times the amount of experience with adjusted settings.

In addition, players can now change fonts between the default font, which was criticized by players for being too ugly during the PC and mobile launch, and a pixel-based font that’s closer to the original feel of the games.

The Switch edition of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster I-VI bundle is available to preorder now for $75, while the PS4 editions will be available at a later date. Those who purchase all six games as a bundle will get a theme and avatar for each title, totaling six themes and six avatars. Alternatively, those who purchase games individually during April 20-May 25, will get a theme and avatar for every game.

For all the fans of the classic Final Fantasy series, this is a great opportunity to experience the first six titles with modernised visuals and features. So don’t miss out on the chance to get your hands on the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series when it releases for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on April 19.
