The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (BotW) is an iconic video game that has captivated gamers all over the world. Now, it has an even bigger draw – a multiplayer mod! Thanks to the hard work of YouTubers ARCHIT3CT and stanz, gamers can now enjoy this beloved game with friends. The mod runs through a Wii U emulator and was created to win a $10,000 bounty offered by YouTuber PointCrow. After winning the bounty, the trio continued working on the mod and released it to the public on April 4.
Using the BotW multiplayer mod, gamers can join a player’s server or start their own. Players can also sync their Shrine progress, quest completion, and Korok Seed collection. Even though the mod seems to run decently well, there are still some kinks to work out. Unfortunately, Nintendo recently had some of PointCrow’s videos that showcased the Breath of the Wild multiplayer mod pulled, but some of the media has since been reinstated, albeit demonetized.
It’s clear that a lot of work and dedication went into creating this mod and it’s a great way to enjoy the game before The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom comes out. So, if you’re looking for a fun way to play Breath of the Wild with friends, the multiplayer mod is worth checking out!
