The Overwatch 2 Season 4 patch notes have been released, and it’s clear that Blizzard is shaking up the meta in a big way. With changes to Brigitte, Moira, Ana, Reinhardt, Sigma, Cassidy, Sombra, Mercy and more, it’s a great time to be an Overwatch fan.
With the Overwatch 2 Season 4 patch notes now out, it’s time to get excited for the upcoming season of Blizzard’s free-to-play hero shooter. Season 4 is bringing some major changes to the existing roster, with buffs and nerfs to heroes like Brigitte, Moira, Ana, Reinhardt, Sigma, Cassidy, Sombra, and Mercy.
Starting with Brigitte, her Rally ultimate ability has been reworked and now grants her an increased shield size and health, as well as the ability to stun enemies with her Shield Bash. Her Repair Pack healing ability has been reduced in range, however, and her movement speed while using Rally has been reduced.
Moira is also getting a big upgrade, with her Biotic Grasp offering better healing and the option to use her Fade ability while firing her ultimate, Coalescence. This is a huge boon for Moira players, as it will help them to predict and avoid ult-disrupting abilities like Roadhog’s Chain Hook and Reinhardt’s Earthshatter.
Ana’s Sleep Dart is also being changed, with its maximum duration on tank heroes being reduced by 30%. This is to reduce its reliability against tank heroes, who have larger hitboxes and are even more valuable with only one tank on the field.
Sigma’s Accretion and primary fire combo is also being reduced in damage, but its knockdown duration is being increased to give allies more opportunity to follow up on successful impacts. Cassidy’s base health is being reduced and her Magnetic Grenade’s damage is being reduced as well.
Sombra’s EMP is also being changed, with it now able to disable Blizzard. Mercy is also getting some changes, with her Caduceus Staff healing-per-second being increased and her Guardian Angel cooldown being reduced.
It’s clear that Blizzard is shaking up the meta in a big way with the Overwatch 2 Season 4 patch notes. With buffs and nerfs to so many heroes, it’s sure to be an exciting season of Overwatch. Get ready to jump in and try out the new changes as Overwatch 2 Season 4 kicks off on April 11.
