Destiny 2 fans have a lot to look forward to in Season 21, with a slew of new weapons entering the loot pool and several others leaving to make room for them. The most exciting addition is the Strand weapons, which will debut in Iron Banner and Gambit. Gambit will have a Strand linear fusion rifle to acquire and Iron Banner has a Strand fusion rifle that can be earned.
Other weapons entering the loot pool include the powerful rocket launcher Braytech Osprey, the popular scout rifle Randy’s Throwing Knife, and Positive Outlook, a Void precision auto rifle. On the other hand, Bungie has listed several Iron Banner, Nightfall, and Trials of Osiris guns that are being taken out of action next season. These include Mindbender’s Ambition, The Militia’s Birthright, The Inquisitor, Whistler’s Whim, The Wizened Rebuke, The Hero’s Burden, Rose, Arc Glaive, The Messenger, Swarm of the Raven, and an Arc sniper rifle.
If you want to get your hands on these weapons before they leave the loot pool, you’ll have to act fast. The adept version of the Trials of Osiris weapon, Whistler’s Whim, is already out of circulation, but you can still focus a Trials engram by Saint-14 for the regular version. Iron Banner’s Hero’s Burden and Wizened Rebuke will be removed in Season 21. For Nightfall strikes, you’ll have until April 18 to earn the Mindbender’s Ambition shotgun and May 2 to grab The Militia’s Birthright grenade launcher.
So, if you want to add some of these weapons to your collection, now is the time to do it. With the introduction of Strand weapons and the removal of other favorites, Season 21 of Destiny 2 is sure to be an exciting one.
