Grand Theft Auto fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of GTA 6 for some time now, and with the recent news of Cyberpunk 2077 being bolstered with path tracing, some are hoping the same feature will be included in the upcoming GTA installment. Path tracing, also known as full ray-tracing, is a technology that is used to completely overhaul the graphics of games. It has become increasingly popular in recent years, but unfortunately, it is a whole other beast that current consoles and most PCs can’t handle.
That said, there is still hope that Rockstar Games will deploy some serious magic and include path tracing in GTA 6. After all, the developer is known for pushing the boundaries of gaming, and with the game expected to stay on the market for around 8-10 years, it’s likely that technology will only continue to get better.
For now, all GTA fans can do is wait and see what Rockstar Games has in store for them. With the game still in development, there’s no telling what the final product will look like, but it’s safe to say that fans have high expectations for the graphics of GTA 6.
