EA Sports FC, the FIFA successor from Electronic Arts, has just revealed its new logo and shared the first few details on the game. It’s set to feature the largest leagues and footballing competitions in the world including the Premier League, the Champions League, and La Liga. The logo is inspired by the triangles that have been part of EA Sports football for the past 30 years, from the isometric polygons that make up the game to the chemistry triangles that exist in Ultimate Team to the player indicator across every match.
The game will also offer a new footballing philosophy known as Total Football, which was popularised by the Dutch club Ajax in the 1970s. Footballing body FIFA still intends to create football video games following the end of its relationship with EA. Earlier this year it was reported that FIFA president Gianni Infantino said “The new FIFA game – the FIFA 25, 26, 27 and so on – will always be the best e-game for any girl or boy,” adding: “We will have news on this very soon.”
In November 2022, FIFA announced that the first games to use its branding following the end of its partnership with EA would be four Web 3.0 blockchain titles. VGC’s FIFA 23 review said: “EA improves on its predecessor for the umpteenth time, once again delivering the best football game around.
“The new power shots, the revamped set piece system and women’s club teams are welcome, but anyone expecting big changes will want to hope EA Sports FC 24 delivers.”

With its new logo, inspired by the triangles that have been part of EA Sports football for the past 30 years, and its commitment to the largest leagues and footballing competitions in the world including the Premier League, the Champions League, and La Liga, the game is sure to be a hit. It will also offer a new footballing philosophy known as Total Football, popularised by the Dutch club Ajax in the 1970s.
FIFA is also looking to create its own football video games, with FIFA president Gianni Infantino announcing “The new FIFA game – the FIFA 25, 26, 27 and so on – will always be the best e-game for any girl or boy”. The first titles to use its branding following the end of its partnership with EA will be four Web 3.0 blockchain titles, set to be released in November 2022.
VGC’s FIFA 23 review said that “EA improves on its predecessor for the umpteenth time, once again delivering the best football game around”. With all the new features and updates that EA Sports FC is set to bring, it looks like FIFA 23 may have some serious competition in the football video game industry.
