The anticipation for the upcoming MLB The Show 23 is building as Sony San Diego Studio begins to reveal player ratings for the game. Five players have been awarded the highest rating of 99, and the developers have shared a few more of the top-rated players.
Leading the charge is reigning American League MVP Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees, followed by former MVP Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels, Texas Rangers starting pitcher Jacob deGrom, reigning National League MVP Paul Goldschmidt of the St. Louis Cardinals, and Mike Trout of the Angels.
Other players that received a high rating but didn’t quite make the max rating of 99 include Justin Verlander of the New York Mets with a 98, Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 96, Max Scherzer of the Mets with a 96, and Corbin Burnes of the Milwaukee Brewers with a 95. Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies, Manny Machado of the San Diego Padres, and reigning National League Rookie of the Year Michael Harris II of the Atlanta Braves also received noteworthy ratings of 95, 89, and 89 respectively.
The developers will continue to reveal player ratings and overall team ratings ahead of the launch of MLB The Show 23 on March 28th. The game will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch and will also be a part of the Xbox Game Pass.
