Nioh 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the popular action-adventure game Nioh, released on the PlayStation 4 in March 2020. Developed by Team Ninja, Nioh 2 is the spiritual successor to the original Nioh and brings with it a host of new features and enhancements.
Players will take on the role of a character known as the “Half-breed”, a human-yokai hybrid, who is able to use the supernatural powers of the yokai. The Half-breed is able to use a variety of weapons, as well as the Yokai Shift ability, which allows them to transform into a powerful yokai form.
The game is set in the Sengoku period of Japan, and it features a variety of new enemies and bosses, as well as a wide range of levels and locations. Players will explore new areas, fight powerful enemies and bosses, and collect loot to upgrade their character.
Nioh 2 also introduces the new “Reflexive Counter System”, which allows players to counter enemy attacks with precise timing. This system adds an extra layer of depth to the combat, and allows for more strategic and tactical play.
The game also features co-op and PvP multiplayer modes, allowing players to team up with friends or battle it out against each other. As well as the multiplayer modes, Nioh 2 also features an extensive single-player campaign that can be tackled solo or with a friend.
