Nintendo fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the long-anticipated Pikmin 4 game for Nintendo Switch, and the wait may finally be over. A Greek video game retailer has recently listed the game with a 23rd May release date.
The game was first announced back in July 2015 by Shigeru Miyamoto in an interview with Eurogamer. The legendary game designer then mentioned Pikmin 4 again during a Nintendo Direct presentation in September 2022, and stated that it would be released in 2023.
This new release date information could just be a placeholder by the Greek retailer, as is often the case. Fans of the Pikmin series will be hoping that this time the release date is accurate, and that they can finally get their hands on the latest installment of the beloved franchise.
The Pikmin series has been around since 2001, when the first game was released for the Nintendo Gamecube. Since then the series has gone on to become one of the most popular franchises in Nintendo’s history.
The upcoming Pikmin 4 game will be a welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch library, and fans of the series are sure to be delighted with the news of a potential release date. Hopefully we find out soon whether or not the 23rd May release date is accurate, and can finally enjoy the long-awaited Pikmin 4 game on the Nintendo Switch.
